I love reading the Nativity story every year to my kids.  We have several story book versions as well as the verses from the scripture.  I haven't watched the theatrical version in quite some time.  If you haven't watched it, you can rent it via Google Play and Amazon or purchase it on iTunes.   Our local brick-and-mortar video store also has a couple of copies available!

Family Scripture Reading:

Zephaniah 3:17

"The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Family Discussion Suggestion:

Discuss how amazing it is that the Lord "will rejoice over you with singing".

Advent Activity:

The Nativity Story

Pop some popcorn, get a drink and snuggle in front of the home screen and watch The Nativity Story starring Keisha Castle-Hughes, Shohreh Aghdashloo,  and Oscar Isaac . If your children are young, select something age appropriate. Veggie Tales also has several cute Christmas stories.
